A Jewish Advice to Christians

The essential connection between Christians and the Jewish People is found in the concept of Moshiach—the Greek translation is Christ. Moshiach constitutes one of the 613 Commandments given to the Jewish People embodied in the first five books of the Torah ending at the advent of the Jewish People entering into the Land is Yisroel/Israel 3500 years ago. Two thousand years later Maimonides, also known as the Rambam, extracted and compiled the laws relevant to each commandment.

The Rambam states: God saw fit to spread the concept of Moshiach through Rome and their religion, even though their ideas are not founded in the Torah and do not reflect the laws governing this concept, nonetheless God announced this concept to the world through Rome. Up until the present day, the Jewish People have been afraid to speak against the dogma, but as world-wide freedom spreads and as technology works for the people, it has become easier to register a complaint or to instruct in the proper conduct.

First off, we do not pray to Moshiach, God forbid; we pray only to the Creator of Heaven and Earth, but the Torah is not as strict on the gentile, allowing them to pray through an intermediary such as Jesus who will pass along the message. It is a hard thing to stand before God, so God is lenient on the gentiles.

Since Moshiach is a Jewish concept it is strange to have another people come along and give their opinion, but on the other hand since Moshiach comes for the entire world everyone has the right to believe what they believe. The Rambam states: one is allowed to believe a particular person is Moshiach, until Moshiach comes and then must give up the belief.

How do we know who Moshiach is? This question goes all the way back to Moshe who received the Torah and taught how the concept of Moshiach is written throughout the Torah—a seminal concept based on prophetic visions. We will know who Moshiach is because he will do what is prophesized; at that point, according to the law, everyone, Jewish or not, must abandon their fantasy and join with Moshiach.

One of the things Moshiach will do is to bring unity to the world by presenting a new language by which God will come into clarity. The human being longs for the truth and is ready to embrace that which is. There is another concept in Torah called: Sharitz B’Yado/Rat in the Hand—the meaning is: when one is trying to enter into a pool of water to become clean, a rat in the hand will prevent the process.

In another analogy a monkey is trapped grabbing a banana which is inside a cage; the monkey will not let go of the banana thus even from the outside of the cage, the monkey is stilled trapped. When we let go of everything but the truth—then the truth can appear.
